The gallery of the St. Georgen Foundation sees itself as an “open gallery” and a thriving place of communication and encounter for artists and art enthusiasts in a relaxed atmosphere.
Both artists who are already established in the art world and those who are not yet known are given the opportunity to present their work in exhibitions that change monthly. Here particular
attention is paid to the integration of young, ambitious artists from Carinthia.
The diversity of the exhibition programme of the gallery creates an atmosphere of cultural togetherness which combines the so-called “fine arts” (painting, photography, sculpture…) with superb handicraft.
In this way exciting, sometimes unconventional encounters can occur which invite gallery visitors on expeditions of art discovery in a historical ambience. The diverse cultural programme of the
foundation is complimented by creative workshops led by artists and art teachers in the fields of painting, photography, ceramics and sculpture, as well as by discussion circles and readings.
Interested curators are warmly invited to realize their ideas in the gallery of the St. Georgen Foundation. We are delighted to make the gallery premises and the excellent gastronomy of the
foundation available for exhibitions and projects that are in accord with our guiding principles.
