The foundation looks back over a century-old Benedictine tradition. Monastic hospitality forms the spiritual basis for the way in which we treat our guests. “Every stranger who comes should be taken in like Christ; …..all should be given the honour they are entitled to”. So it was written in the 1,500 year-old rules of St. Benedict. And it is our duty as a section of the diocese of Gurk to carry this out adequately in our fields (house of learning, hotel, seminar centre).
