Terms of Participation

Terms of participation for prize draws on:

1. Scope of application, obligations and costs
These conditions apply when persons participate in prize draws and competitions of BISTUM GURK, Abbey St. Georgen, Schlossallee 6, 9313 Sankt Georgen am Längsee in Austria (hereinafter “the organizer”) at https://www.stift-stgeorgen.at/ or https://www.stift-stgeorgen.at/win. Participation is free of charge, voluntary and without obligation for the participants. Legal recourse is excluded.

2. Eligibility for participation
Residents with permanent residence in Austria or Germany are eligible to participate in prize draws and competitions at https://www.facebook.com/stiftstgeorgen and https://www.instagram.com/stiftstgeorgen/. A person may participate only once per prize draw. Automated entries are excluded from participation. The organizer reserves the right to demand proof from participants of compliance with the above requirements. If proof is not provided upon request, the participant may be excluded from the promotion by the organizer. The organizer further reserves the right to exclude participants who violate criminal laws, public morals or these game conditions from participation with immediate effect.

3. Third-party rights
Participants declare that their submission to the prize draw (for example texts, drawings or photographs) does not violate the rights of third parties, in particular copyrights and personal rights. If other persons were involved in the creation or development of the participation contribution, they must agree to its submission and later publication as part of the prize draw. The same applies if third parties have been granted an exclusive right to the submitted contributions. Even if other persons are recognizable in submitted photographs or drawings, their consent to submission and later publication must be obtained.

4. Procedure
Payment of the prize in cash, in kind, its exchange or transfer to other persons is not possible. For prizes in the form of a voucher, the cash payout of the prize, the sale and the transfer of the voucher are not permitted.

Notification of the prize is given within 14 days after the closing date of the promotion by email or Facebook message. The organizer reserves the right to publish the winner on https://www.facebook.com/stiftstgeorgen and https://www.instagram.com/stiftstgeorgen/. The winner must claim his or her prize within 14 days by email. If the person does not claim the prize within the 14 days, the organizer reserves the right to determine a new winner. If the contact details provided are incorrect (e.g. postal or email addresses), the organizer is not obliged to research correct addresses. The disadvantages resulting from providing incorrect contact details (e.g. incorrect postal or email address) are at the participant’s expense.

If, upon delivery, prizes are found to be defective or damaged, the organizer must be notified within seven days of the delivery date, otherwise the prize will be deemed accepted in the delivered condition. The winner’s statutory rights are not affected by this.

For participation via Facebook, the winner will be notified by the organizer and must respond within 48 hours to claim the prize. If the winner does not claim within the 48 hours, the organizer reserves the right to let the prize lapse. Facebook itself is in no way connected to the prize draw and is thus excluded from any liability.

5. Data protection notes regarding the prize draw
The data entered by participants for participation in the prize draw is used only for processing and handling the prize draw and is not – apart from the publication mentioned above – passed on to third parties or used for advertising purposes without the participant’s consent.

The participant agrees that his or her submissions to the prize draw, as well as the transmitted personal data (first name, surname, place, photograph or other electronic materials) in connection with the prize draw, its drawing and processing will be published on https://www.facebook.com/stiftstgeorgen, https://www.instagram.com/stiftstgeorgen/, and the website https://www.stift-stgeorgen.at/.

The participant can revoke the publication of his or her personal data either during participation or afterwards.

6. Changes to participation rules and termination of the prize draw
The organizer reserves the right to change the terms of participation at any time. Such a change must be announced immediately. The organizer further reserves the right to terminate or interrupt the prize draw or the raffle at any time for important reasons without prior notice. This applies in particular to reasons that would disrupt or prevent the proper running of the prize draw or raffle.

7. Additional conditions
Further terms of participation (for example the type and duration of the prize draw, the type and scope of the prize) are stated for the respective prize draw. Should individual provisions of the terms of participation be invalid or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms of participation remains unaffected. They will be replaced by a reasonable provision that most closely matches the purpose of the invalid provision.
