Inquiries & Bookings
How can I inquire about or book a room?
You can reserve your room via our booking link.
We are also happy to assist you by phone or email for your inquiry.
+43 4213 2046 or rezeption@stift-stgeorgen.at
How do I book a room with special conditions for a pre-reserved event?
Rooms for a pre-reserved event with special conditions CANNOT be booked via our web portal or via Booking — only via email at rezeption@stift-stgeorgen.at.
Are there benefits to booking directly via the website or by email?
Book directly on our website or via email and enjoy our “Best Conditions Guarantee” as a direct-booking benefit. We always have the best prices combined with the most favourable cancellation terms for you.
How and when do I pay for my booking (deposit and final payment)?
The deposit of 30% (free of charges for the recipient) is due upon receipt of the reservation confirmation. You will find the bank details in your confirmation under “Payment terms”. If you do not pay the deposit, your booking is still binding. If your arrival is within one week, no deposit is required. Do you need a separate invoice address? Please let us know before arrival. The remaining balance is paid on departure by cash, debit or credit card.
Can I bring my dog, and what rules apply in the hotel?
Out of consideration for allergy sufferers, a contingent of hotel rooms is available for guests travelling with dogs — bookable on request. There is an extra charge per dog per night, excluding food. If you arrive with your dog without prior notification, we charge a separate final cleaning fee. Even well-behaved dogs are not permitted in our restaurant or the Abbey Pool, but they are warmly welcome on our Abbey terrace. Guide dogs and therapy dogs are exempt from the above rules.
Does the hotel offer travel and cancellation insurance?
Together with our partner Europäische Reiseversicherung AG, we can offer you attractive travel cancellation and trip interruption insurance. You can book your insurance directly via the link in your reservation confirmation. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance including cancellation cover.
What are the cancellation and general terms?
If you cancel your booking before arrival or end your stay early without additional cancellation protection or for a reason not covered as a cancellation case, the following charges apply:
- From 30 to 14 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount.
- From 14 to 7 days before arrival: 70% of the total amount.
- In the last week, the cancellation fee is 90% of the total amount.
Please note that we can only accept cancellations received in writing. Separate cancellation terms apply for celebrations, seminars and groups.
We therefore recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance with Europäische Reiseversicherung. You can find all information on the insurance product (product information sheet, description of services including conditions, conduct in the event of a claim), rights of withdrawal, complaint options and data use of Europäische
Reiseversicherung AG here.
The right of withdrawal under § 18 (1) no. 10 FAGG (Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act) does not apply; instead, the General Terms and Conditions of the hotel industry apply.
Where can I find the current weather forecast, and is bad weather a valid cancellation reason?
You will always find the current weather forecast on the Bergfex website. Please note that cancellation due to weather is not covered as a cancellation reason by your travel insurance.
